Responsibilities:

  • Perform molecular analyses according to established standard operating procedures and protocols under development, including techniques such as nucleic acid isolation, (RT)qPCR, ddPCR standard and custom library preparation protocols for DNA/RNA sequencing on various platforms in the GCP/GLP/GCLP area
  • Report to and assist management with unexpected assay occurrences, deviations and out of specification results in accordance with existing regulations
  • Participate in the development of processes and documents related to GCP/GLP/GCLP compliance and maintenance of high quality standards
  • Regularly and independently maintain written/electronic records of laboratory procedures and results in accordance with our quality management standards
  • Collaborate with the laboratory assistance team in the setup of new equipment, preventive maintenance and inspection of existing laboratory equipment, and preparation of related documentation
  • Perform general laboratory activities such as ordering, receiving samples, maintaining and qualifying laboratory and analytical equipment
  • Optimization of laboratory infrastructure (digitization, equipment, workflows, etc.)
  • Participation in assay development, optimization, qualification/validation and implementation of new methods and protocols

Qualifications:

  • You have successfully completed vocational training as a BTA, BioTA, MTA. CTA or a comparable degree
  • Previous laboratory experience in research and/or industry ideally in a GxP environment, performing molecular analyses such as DNA/RNA isolation, qPCR, ddPCR and/or Next Generation Sequencing is an advantage
  • High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, dynamic environment according to quality management standards
  • You are characterized by a very careful and precise way of working
  • Enjoy working independently and responsibly as part of a team and a willingness to collaborate with and support colleagues across the organization
  • High commitment to quality and willingness to work in a GxP environment, industry and GLP/GCP/GCLP experience desirable
  • You are confident using a PC and have strong Microsoft Office skills
  • You are fluent in German and have good English skills for working in an international team / with international customers
